Some big interviews coming up? In this 1-hour session, a mentor with hiring experience will act as a technical interviewer and ask you some standard hiring questions that you might hear in one of your future interview too, and will evaluate your replies.
As a result of this, you should receive actionable feedback on what to improve about your knowledge, interview presence and other things that may be relevant to a future hiring decision.
I'm a mentor with 10 years of experience in program and people management. Throughout my career, I have been responsible for leading teams, managing budgets, and have extensive experience in hiring and interviewing, having evaluated and selected the best candidates for various roles in various organizations. I have more than a hundred Google interviews completed in addition to having sit on Google's Hiring Committee where I reviewed thousands of applicant "packages" to give candidates a final thumbs up or thumbs down for ultimate hire at Google.
In this session, I will act as program manager interviewer and go through a standard interviewing procedure, similar to what I would do at Google. I'll aim for 40 minutes of interviewing, and about 20 minutes of directed feedback. I'll cover areas such as:
- Obvious knowledge gaps
- Communication Issues
- Pointing out behaviors that might throw off hiring managers
- Any other signals that stand out to me based on my experience
